Optimization of Integrated Gasification Combined-Cycle Power Plant for Polygeneration of Power and Chemicals

Efficient and flexible operation is essential for competitiveness in the energy market. However, CO2 emissions of conventional power plants have become an increasingly significant environmental dilemma. In this study, optimization a steam process IGCC was carried out, which improved overall performance plant. CCPP with subcritical HRSG modelled using EBSILON Professional. The numerical results model were validated by measurements three different load cases (100, 80, 60%). are agreement measured data, deviations less than 5% each case. Based on validation, modified use syngas as feed integration heat into process. optimized respect to varying extraction points, adjusting parameters extractions modifying cycle. For 100% case, turbine achieved increase +34.2%. Finally, subjected sensitivity analysis investigate effects mass flows output.
